Description
Corullón 2021 · Bierzo
Corullón 2021 is a vibrant and refined expression of Bierzo's winemaking tradition. Made by José Antonio García, it comes from century-old vineyards located in Valtuille de Abajo, a privileged area where soil diversity and a cool climate define the character of each vine.
The winery is firmly committed to sustainable agriculture, cultivating old vines on slate, quartzite, and limestone soils. This geological richness imparts a unique mineral complexity to the wine.
The winemaking process is carried out with extreme care: manual selection of bunches in 14 kg boxes to preserve freshness, whole cluster fermentation with indigenous yeasts in oak foudres, without temperature control, and subsequent aging for 12 months in French oak barrels of different capacities. All of this results in an authentic wine that purely reflects the identity of Bierzo.
