Description
Corullón 2021 is a vibrant and refined expression of the Bierzo winemaking tradition. Produced by José Antonio García, it comes from centuries-old vineyards in Bierzo, a region known for its diverse soils and cooler climate.
The José Antonio García winery is located in the town of Valtuille de Abajo. With a focus on sustainable agriculture, the winery works with old vines planted on slate, quartzite, and limestone soils. This diverse geological environment gives the wine complexity and minerality.
A is made Manual and selective sorting in the vineyard is carried out in 14 kg boxes to avoid crushing the grapes and ensure they arrive fresh at the winery. This process helps preserve the characteristics of the grapes and the terroir.
It is fermented with whole grapes and yeast in oak vats without temperature control. It is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels of various capacities.
Tasting Notes
Ruby-colored with violet hues, it presents aromas of red fruits such as raspberry and cherry, and expressive floral aromas with a sensation of purity and cleanliness. With fine, silky tannins and subtle minerality. Complex and balanced, it suggests evolution in the bottle.
