Veigamoura is located in the Condado do Tea sub-area, within the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin, in the municipality of Arbo. Its philosophy is based on the production of authentic Albariño wines from sustainable agriculture and with their own personality, reflecting the character of this sub-area.
Thanks to manual harvesting, the grapes arrive at the winery in less than six hours, preserving all their freshness. There, they undergo gentle, prolonged pressing that releases the pulp without extracting unwanted flavours from the skin. This meticulous process avoids astringent and herbaceous notes, and ensures that every drop of must expresses the essence of the grape.
After static settling at low temperature, the must ferments with native yeasts, a more demanding method but one that enhances the complexity and aromatic profile of the wine. Once fermentation is complete, the Albariño rests on its fine lees, with periodic 'batonnage' to gain structure and protect it from oxidation, achieving a silky texture and integrated acidity.
The result is a high-quality Albariño, with clear aromas, balance and a long aging potential. Fruity and floral notes typical of the variety are combined with an enveloping softness provided by the ageing on lees. These virtues have led Veigamoura to receive excellent ratings in specialist guides and platforms, reflecting the care and passion present in each stage of its production.
