      Description

Do Peizas 2021 · Ribeira Sacra

Do Peizas 2021, produced by the Lagar do Vento winery, is a red wine that authentically reflects the character of the Ribeira Sacra. It comes from the Peizás vineyard, located on granite slopes overlooking the Miño River, where heroic viticulture and respect for the land mark each bunch of grapes.

Made with 95% Mencía and 5% Garnacha Tintorera, this wine is born from grapes cultivated using regenerative and sustainable viticulture practices. The harvest is done manually, with rigorous selection in the vineyard, and fermentation takes place with natural yeasts, combining 80% in stainless steel tanks and 20% in third-use barrels. The result is a wine of great freshness, complexity and elegance.

      Tasting Notes

      • Appearance: Bright cherry color with violet edges.

      • Nose: Aromas of fresh red fruits, graphite, and slight balsamic notes.

      • Taste: Powerful and fruity, with lively acidity that provides freshness and a long, lingering finish.

A red wine that captures the strength of the granite and the Atlantic freshness of the Ribeira Sacra.

      Pairings

Do Peizas 2021 is a vibrant and elegant red wine, ideal for accompanying dishes with flavor and a certain intensity, but without excessive power:

      • Galician cuisine: lacón with grelos, grilled Creole chorizo, or empanada de zorza.

      • Meats: grilled lamb chops, Iberian pork tenderloin, or free-range chicken baked with herbs.

      • Oily fish: bonito with onion, grilled cod, or marinated salmon.

      • International dishes: mushroom risotto, artisanal sausage pizza, or beef tacos with mild spices.

      • Cheeses: semi-cured Galician cheeses (San Simón da Costa, Arzúa-Ulloa cured) or young Manchego.

Do Peizas 2021 is the pure expression of Ribeira Sacra; a red wine born from granite, Atlantic freshness and a passion for sustainable viticulture.
