Anónimas Viticultoras is a significant wine project founded by Cristina Yagüe Cuevas and María Falcón. This winery stands out not only for the quality of its wines, but also for its mission to honor and make visible the work of women in viticulture, traditionally a sector dominated by men.
The philosophy of Anónimas Viticultoras is clear: to pay tribute to the anonymous women who have contributed to the world of wine throughout history. Based in Rías Baixas, where Cristina has worked for many years, and with family roots in wine on María's side, the winery also sources grapes from various regions of Galicia, including Ribeira Sacra and Valdeorras.
The wines of Anónimas Viticultoras are characterized by expressing the Atlantic character of the native Galician varieties, standing out for their freshness and vivacity. The "Os Dunares" line includes an Albariño from Rías Baixas and wines made with Caíño, both in red and rosé. These wines are inspired by the landscape and characteristics of the Atlantic dune ecosystem, reflecting attributes such as salinity and smoothness.
Furthermore, Anónimas Viticultoras has developed wines in the Ribeira Sacra, such as "Catro e Cadela", made with Mencía and Garnacha grapes from vines located at an altitude of 450 metres in the Búbal River Canyon, a tributary of the Miño River. These wines are the result of entirely manual and artisanal work, reflecting the dedication and effort of the women who produce them.
Anónimas Viticultoras' commitment to gender equality is reflected in its efforts to collaborate with other women in the sector. The winery works closely with female winegrowers, winemakers, winemakers and sommeliers, weaving a network of support and collaboration that strengthens its mission to give visibility and recognition to women in viticulture.
Anónimas Viticultoras not only produces exceptional wines, but also tells a story of dedication, struggle and homage to all the women who have left a mark on the world of wine. At Vinnatura, we are proud to offer these wines that encapsulate both the quality and spirit of Galicia and its hardworking women.
