Encoiros 2022 is an Albariño produced by Adega do Vimbio, a family winery located in Goian, Tomiño, in the O Rosal sub-zone. Founded by Martín Crusat and Patricia Elola, the winery is dedicated to organic and sustainable agriculture.

In 2012, Martín, a biologist and environmental expert, and Patricia, a vineyard enthusiast, decided to return to their roots to create wines that respect the land and the environment.

The vineyards, located in the Veque and O Gaiteiro plots, are between 30 and 35 years old and are planted on shale and clay soils, which gives a unique minerality to the wine. The grapes are pressed in whole clusters and fermented with indigenous yeasts without the addition of sulphites, which allows the purity and authenticity of the terroir to be preserved.

The result is a bright and expressive wine, with intense aromas of citrus, white flowers and a touch of salt. It is fresh and balanced, with notes of green apple, citrus and a slight minerality that reflect the character of the Atlantic and the soil where it is grown. Bottled at the end of fermentation, unfiltered, it maintains residual CO2.

Tasting Notes

Encoiros 2022 has a pale yellow colour with greenish reflections. Its intense aromas of citrus and white flowers are complemented by a saline touch. It is fresh and vibrant, with notes of green apple, citrus and a slight minerality, capturing the essence of the Atlantic and the minerality of its soils.
