Description
Do Peizas Barrica 2022 · Ribeira Sacra
Do Peizas Barrica 2022, produced by Lagar do Vento, is a red wine that embodies the identity of the Ribeira Sacra and the strength of its heroic viticulture. It comes from the Do Peizás estate, located on the slopes of Belesar, Chantada, where the granite soils and steep slopes mark the unique character of its wines.
The winery, under the direction of winemaker Roberto Regal, works with sustainable and regenerative practices, focusing on low yields in the vineyard to ensure maximum quality. The harvest is done manually, limiting the number of bunches per vine to obtain concentrated and balanced grapes.
In the winery, the winemaking process respects the origin: fermentation with natural yeasts and aging for 6 months in French oak barrels, which provides elegance without hiding the freshness and minerality typical of Mencía de Chantada.
