Description
Do Peizas Barrica 2022 · Ribeira Sacra
Do Peizas Barrica 2022, produced by Lagar do Vento, is a red wine that embodies the identity of Ribeira Sacra and the strength of its heroic viticulture. It comes from the Do Peizás estate, located on the slopes of Belesar, Chantada, where granite soils and steep inclines define the unique character of its wines.
The winery, under the direction of winemaker Roberto Regal, employs sustainable and regenerative practices, opting for low yields in the vineyard to ensure maximum quality. Harvesting is done manually, limiting bunches per vine to obtain concentrated and balanced grapes.
In the winery, vinification respects the origin: fermentation with natural yeasts and an aging period of 6 months in French oak barrels, which contributes elegance without masking the freshness and minerality typical of Mencía from Chantada.
