Description
Murinus 2021
Murinus 2021 is an exceptional white wine from Anónimas Viticulturas, made in the Rías Baixas region with the rare Ratiño grape. This grape was once cultivated in the Pontevedra area, but was gradually replaced by Albariño, and now only a few vines remain. This wine captures the essence and tradition of Galician viticulture, offering a unique experience.
Produced by Anónimas Viticulturas, a winery committed to sustainability and the preservation of nearly extinct native grape varieties. Located in Cambados, in the O Salnés subzone of the Rías Baixas, the winery benefits from a cool, humid Atlantic climate and sandy soils over granite. Cris Yagüe Cuevas and María Falcón lead this project with passion and dedication, working closely with local winemakers to produce authentic and expressive wines.
Ratiño grapes, hand-picked from old vines, are fermented with native yeasts. The wine matures on its lees for six months in stainless steel tanks, which imparts greater complexity and a smooth, enveloping texture. It is then aged for a year in the bottle.
Tasting Notes
Murinus 2021 presents a pale yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it unfolds aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits, and a subtle herbaceous touch. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, with a lively acidity that enhances its mineral and fruity flavors, culminating in a long and elegant finish.
