Murinus 2021 is an exceptional white wine from Anónimas Viticultoras, made in the Rías Baixas with the rare Ratiño grape. A grape that was grown in the Pontevedra region, but was gradually replaced by Albariño, currently only a few vines remain. This unique wine captures the essence and tradition of Galician viticulture, offering a unique experience.
Produced by Anónimas Viticultoras, a winery committed to sustainability and the preservation of almost extinct indigenous varieties. Located in Cambados, in the O Salnés sub-zone of Rías Baixas, the winery benefits from the cool, humid Atlantic climate and sandy soils on granite. Cris Yagüe Cuevas and María Falcón lead this project with passion and dedication, working closely with local winegrowers to produce authentic and expressive wines.
The Ratiño grapes, hand-picked from old vineyards, are fermented with native yeasts. The wine matures on its lees for six months in stainless steel tanks, which gives it greater complexity and a soft, enveloping texture. It is then aged for a year in the bottle.
Tasting Notes
Murinus 2021 is pale yellow in colour with greenish hues. On the nose, it displays aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits and a subtle herbaceous touch. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, with a lively acidity that enhances its mineral and fruity flavours, culminating in a long and elegant finish.
