Description
Veigamoura 2022 is an Albariño from the prestigious Rías Baixas region, produced by the Veigamoura winery. This wine stands out for its freshness and character, reflecting the region's terroir. The granitic soils and Atlantic climate, with dry, sunny summers in 2022, have contributed to the creation of a wine with vibrant acidity and an intense aromatic profile.
Veigamoura Winery is dedicated to sustainable viticulture, respecting the natural environment and using traditional techniques. The grapes come from vineyards located on a mountainside at an altitude of 280 meters. On this stony soil, with granite flakes that reflect the sunlight, the vines struggle and triumph, producing high-quality fruit.
The grapes are hand-picked and the wine is fermented with native yeasts, followed by a 20-month aging process on fine lees, followed by a 6-month batonnage in stainless steel tanks, which provides complexity and body.
Tasting Notes
Veigamoura 2022 has a pale yellow color with greenish hues. On the nose, it displays aromas of citrus, white flowers, and a characteristic mineral touch. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, with notes of lemon and green apple, and a slightly salty finish reminiscent of the nearby ocean.
