Veigamoura 2022 is an Albariño from the prestigious Rías Baixas region, produced by the Veigamoura winery. This wine stands out for its freshness and character, reflecting the unique terroir of the region. The granitic soils and the Atlantic climate, with dry and sunny summers in 2022, have contributed to the creation of a wine with vibrant acidity and an intense aromatic profile.
The Veigamoura winery is dedicated to sustainable viticulture, respecting the natural environment and using traditional techniques. The grapes come from vineyards located on a mountainside at an altitude of 280 metres. On this rocky terrain, with granite slabs that reflect the sunlight, the vines struggle and succeed, offering fruits of high quality.
The grapes are harvested by hand and the wine is fermented with native yeasts, followed by aging on fine lees for 20 months, 6 months with batonnage, in stainless steel tanks that provides complexity and body.
Tasting Notes
Veigamoura 2022 has a pale yellow colour with greenish reflections. On the nose, it displays aromas of citrus, white flowers and a characteristic mineral touch. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced, with notes of lemon, green apple and a slightly saline finish reminiscent of the nearby ocean.
