Description
Veigamoura Quinquenio 2018 is an Albariño that breaks with convention, offering a singular character and a unique experience from the first sip. Produced in the Condado do Tea sub-region of As Neves, this wine comes from its own vineyards located on high-altitude land with granitic soils, difficult to cultivate but rewarding with grapes of the highest quality. The winery prides itself on its commitment to sustainable agriculture, respecting the natural environment and employing techniques that preserve local biodiversity.
From the harvest to the bottle, every step in the production of Veigamoura Quinquenio is designed to highlight the purity and distinctive character of the Albariño. The grapes, harvested by hand, are subjected to gentle, prolonged pressure to maintain their fresh and vibrant flavors. Fermentation, carried out with native yeasts, gives the wine a unique touch that distinguishes it from other Albariños.
The wine then undergoes a six-month batonnage aging process, followed by 30 months of aging in stainless steel tanks on its fine lees, and finally, it is refined for 24 months in the bottle.
