Julia Vinificación Singular 2021 is a red wine of unique character, produced by José Antonio García Viticultor. This wine comes from vineyards located in Valtuille de Abajo, planted on sand and slate soils that confer a distinctive complexity and minerality. The winery is dedicated to minimal intervention practices, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes and terroir to fully express themselves.
José Antonio García Viticultor is a family winery in El Bierzo that stands out for its commitment to sustainability and traditional techniques. The vineyards, aged between 80 and 100 years, are located in Valtuille de Abajo and benefit from a continental climate with a strong Atlantic influence, which provides optimal conditions for the cultivation of Mencía and other native varieties.
Fermentation takes place in foudres with native yeasts, without temperature control, and the wine is aged for 6 to 8 months in used oak barrels. José Antonio produces an excellent wine that has received international awards and recognition.
Tasting Notes:
Pale ruby in color, Julia Vinificación Singular 2021 presents intense aromas of ripe red fruits and mineral notes. On the palate, it is silky and well-balanced, with soft tannins and a refreshing acidity that leads to a long and elegant finish.
