Le Fleq Pinot Noir 2023 is a true expression of the Andalusian terroir, produced at the prestigious Le Fleq winery, run by Flequi Berruti. It comes from Pago de Carrascal, an area known for its albariza soils that provide a unique minerality to the wine. The Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influence and an exceptionally warm year allowed for optimal ripening of the Pinot Noir grapes, resulting in a wine of great character and elegance.
The Le Fleq winery, located in Jerez de la Frontera, is dedicated to organic production with a deep respect for the environment. Flequi Berruti, a wine enthusiast, has created a project that combines tradition and sustainability. The vineyards in Pago de Carrascal are managed to limit production to 2 kg per vine, guaranteeing superior quality.
Le Fleq Pinot Noir is made from organically grown grapes with very low yields. They are fermented with indigenous yeasts and stems in oak barrels for 28 days. The wine is then aged in used oak barrels for 10 months, which adds complexity and depth to its flavour profile. This process ensures that each bottle is an authentic representation of its terroir.
Tasting Notes
To the eye, this wine has a bright ruby colour. On the nose, it displays aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherries and strawberries, with subtle notes of Mediterranean herbs and a touch of sweet spice from the oak. On the palate, it is elegant and well-balanced, with soft tannins and a refreshing acidity that leads to a long and persistent finish.
