Description
O Fogar do Castriño 2020 is a deep, elegant Galician white wine for aging, produced by Nanclares y Prieto, one of the most renowned projects in contemporary Galician viticulture. It comes from vineyards worked with artisanal sensitivity and minimal intervention, on granite and sandy soils marked by Atlantic influence.
Nanclares y Prieto works with a philosophy based on respect for the vineyard, sustainable agriculture, and precise winemaking that seeks to express the character of the landscape without artifice. The 2020 vintage offers a wine with structure, tension, and great gastronomic versatility.
In the winery, vinification is carried out with care and patience: fermentation in 500-liter chestnut barrels, aging on lees for 24 months with bâtonnage during the first month, and bottling without filtering or fining. Subsequently, the wine rests in the bottle for 21 months before being released to the market. The result is a Galician white of great depth, texture, and complexity.
