Description
Ravia 2022 · O Ribeiro
Ravia 2022 is a creation of Iría Otero, a winemaker with over 17 years of experience who founded her winery in 2015 with a clear objective: to produce wines that reflect the history and landscape of Ribeiro. This white wine originates in Ribadavia, in the heart of the Avia Valley, where the decomposed granite and sandy slopes impart freshness and minerality to the wine.
The Treixadura and Torrontés blend is cultivated using organic farming practices and minimal intervention. The Atlantic climate with Mediterranean nuances, along with a warm but balanced 2022 vintage thanks to September rains, yielded grapes of exceptional quality and expression.
The winemaking process combines respect and precision: fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks, 7 months of aging on fine lees and partial malolactic fermentation in barrels, which give the wine a creamy texture, volume and a unique aromatic profile.
Tasting Notes
-
Appearance: Straw yellow with greenish reflections, bright and clean.
-
Nose: Intense aromas of ripe citrus fruits (mandarin, grapefruit), white flowers and delicate herbaceous nuances.
-
Palate: Fresh and balanced, with moderate and well-integrated acidity. Long finish, with a slight vegetal bitterness that adds authenticity and persistence.
Pairings
