Ravia 2022 is a wine expression from the Iría Otero winery, located in Ribadavia, in the heart of O Ribeiro. This white wine, a blend of Treixadura and Torrontés, stands out for its organic farming and minimal intervention, capturing the Galician terroir.

Iría Otero, a winemaker with over 17 years of experience, founded her winery in 2015 with the goal of creating wines that reflect the history and environment of the Ribeiro region. The vineyards, located on the slopes of the Avia River, feature decomposed granite and sábrego soils, which lend a unique minerality to the wine. The Atlantic climate with Mediterranean influences, combined with a particularly warm 2022, balanced by rainfall in September, contributed to the complexity and freshness of Ravia 2022.

Made with organically grown grapes, Ravia 2022 ferments with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Aging for 7 months on fine lees and partial malolactic fermentation in barrels provide a creamy texture and distinctive aromatic profile.

Tasting Notes:

Straw yellow in color with greenish hues, Ravia 2022 presents intense aromas of ripe citrus, mandarin, and white flowers. It is fresh, with moderate and well-integrated acidity, herbaceous notes, and a slightly bitter and vegetal finish, leaving a long and pleasant aftertaste.
