Description
Roico 2023 · Rías Baixas (Tomiño)
Roico 2023, produced by Adega do Vimbio, is an authentic and natural expression of the vineyards of Goian, Tomiño. The winery, managed by Martín Crusat and Patricia Elola, is characterized by its commitment to sustainable agriculture and minimal intervention, always seeking to reflect in its wines the purity of the soil and the Atlantic climate of Rías Baixas.
The Albariño grapes come from the Veque and O Gaiteiro vineyards, located on schist and clay soils. These soils, combined with the Atlantic's marine influence, give the wine a unique minerality and freshness. The 2023 vintage, characterized by warm temperatures and optimal ripening, yielded grapes of great concentration and balance.
The wine is made with natural yeasts and macerated with its skins, a method that provides texture and complexity. After fermentation, the wine is not stabilized or filtered and no SO₂ is added, preserving its natural character. It may contain sediment, a sign of its purity and minimal intervention.
