Description
Roico 2023 is produced by the Adega do Vimbio winery, located in the hills of Goian, Tomiño. Led by Martín Crusat and Patricia Elola, this winery is distinguished by its commitment to sustainable agriculture and the preservation of the natural environment. Their focus on organic, low-intervention viticulture allows their wines to purely reflect the character of the Rías Baixas soil and climate.
The Albariño grapes used for Roico 2023 come from the Veque and O Gaiteiro vineyards, located on shale and clay soils. These soils, combined with the region's Atlantic climate, contribute exceptional minerality and freshness to the wine. The 2023 vintage benefited from warm temperatures, promoting optimal grape ripening, resulting in a rich and complex flavor profile.
Roico 2023 is produced using a process that respects nature. The grapes are fermented with natural yeasts and their skins, a method that gives the wine a distinctive texture and flavor profile. This Albariño presents a bright golden color and aromas of fresh citrus, brioche, and delicate floral notes.
Roico 2023 is an expression of the Rías Baixas terroir, capturing the essence of its vineyards and the passion of its winemakers. Perfect if you're looking for a natural and authentic wine that reflects the spirit of the region.
Tasting Notes
On the palate, Roico 2023 is refreshing and mineral, with a long, saline finish that evokes the vineyards' proximity to the sea. It may contain deposits, a sign of its natural production without unnecessary intervention.
