Description
Valtuille Vino de Villa 2021 · Bierzo
Valtuille Vino de Villa 2021 is an exceptional red wine that reflects José Antonio García's dedication to organic and traditional viticulture in Bierzo. Century-old Mencía vines give life to a wine that combines freshness, authenticity, and elegance.
In the vineyard, work is done with respect and precision: green pruning, cover crops, moderate brush clearing, and careful soil management, all with the aim of maintaining the natural balance of the plant and the terroir.
The winery, located in Valtuille de Abajo, is distinguished by its philosophy of minimal intervention and sustainability. Its diverse soils of clay, stone, and sand provide unique nuances that are clearly expressed in this wine.
Winemaking follows traditional and natural processes: fermentation with indigenous yeasts in oak foudres, 30-day maceration with 30% whole clusters, and 12 months of aging in used barrels of different capacities (225, 400, and 500 liters). The result is a complex, structured wine with a deep Bierzo character.
