Valtuille Vino de Villa 2021 is an exceptional wine that reflects José Antonio García's dedication to quality organic and traditional viticulture. Green pruning, mulching, moderate clearing, and soil work are carried out. Made with Mencía grapes from century-old vines, this wine captures the essence of Bierzo with its freshness and elegance.
The José Antonio García Viticultor winery is located in Valtuille de Abajo, a region known for its varied soils of clay, stone and sand. The winery is distinguished by its focus on minimal intervention and sustainability, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes and terroir to fully express themselves.
The Valtuille Vino de Villa 2021 is fermented with native yeasts in oak foudres and macerated for 30 days with 30% whole bunches. The wine is then aged for 12 months in used barrels of different capacities (225, 400 and 500 litres), giving it a unique complexity and structure.
Tasting Notes:
This wine has a cherry red colour with perfumed and expressive aromas of red fruits and flowers, accompanied by subtle mineral notes. On the palate, it is intense and structured, with soft tannins and excellent balance and freshness.
