Description
Imagine 50-year-old vines with extremely low yields, where each grape is hand-picked and destemmed, grape by grape. This meticulous process culminates in fermentation in a low-temperature concrete tank for over 30 days, ensuring maximum fruit extraction. The wine then rests for 40 months in French Jupille and Tronçais oak barrels, acquiring complexity and depth.
Tasting Notes
Upon serving, you'll notice a unique layer of color. The brown tones of the barrel intertwine with the persistent cherry tones of its youth. On the nose, this wine displays a subtle elegance. Initially, dark fruits dominate, followed by delicate honeyed notes and ending with cocoa notes. The wood is present, but always in the background, accompanying and enhancing the fruit, creating a harmony of aromas that is intoxicating and soothing.
On the palate, its mouthfeel is fine, with a long aftertaste and a lingering finish that invites you to savor every moment. This wine isn't just for sipping, it's for experiencing. It transports you to the heart of La Rioja, to its roots, and connects you with the respect and wisdom with which it was created.
