Imagine 50-year-old, extremely low-yield vines, where each grape is hand-picked and manually destemmed, grape by grape. This meticulous process culminates in a low-temperature fermentation in concrete tanks for over 30 days, ensuring maximum fruit extraction. The wine then rests for 40 months in French oak barrels from Jupille and Tronçais, acquiring complexity and depth.
Tasting Notes
When served, you will notice a unique layer of colour. The brown tones of the barrel intertwine with the persistent cherry tones of its past youth. On the nose, this wine displays a subtle elegance. At first, dark fruits dominate, followed by delicate honeyed touches and ending with notes of cocoa. The wood is present, but always in the background, accompanying and enhancing the fruit, creating a harmony of aromas that intoxicates and soothes.
On the palate, it has a fine mid-palate, with a long aftertaste and a persistent aftertaste that invites you to savour every moment. This wine is not just to be drunk, it is to be experienced. It transports you to the heart of La Rioja, to its roots, and connects you with the respect and wisdom with which it was created.
