Description
Clarabal is a winery that keeps alive the centuries-old tradition between viticulture and the Cistercian order, whose mark remains on the slopes of the Miño River. Its philosophy of heroic, organic, and natural viticulture is reflected in each of its wines, authentic witnesses of the landscape and history of the Ribeira Sacra.
Clarabal red wine comes from a small plot in the Miño Valley. It is mainly made with Mencía, accompanied by a small proportion of Garnacha and native white varieties that provide complexity, freshness, and aromatic richness.
Winemaking is carried out traditionally in French oak barrels, with an aging of 7 months in barrels previously used for white wine. This detail provides the wine with an extra layer of freshness and subtlety, balancing its fruity character with refined elegance.
