Description
Clarabal is a winery that keeps alive the centuries-old tradition between viticulture and the Cistercian order, whose legacy remains on the slopes of the Miño River. Its philosophy of heroic, organic, and natural viticulture is reflected in each of its wines, authentic witnesses of the Ribeira Sacra landscape and history.
Clarabal red wine comes from a small plot in the Miño Valley. It is made mainly with Mencía, accompanied by a small proportion of Garnacha and indigenous white varieties that provide complexity, freshness, and aromatic richness.
Winemaking is carried out traditionally in French oak barrels, with a 7-month aging period in barrels previously used for white wine. This detail adds an extra layer of freshness and subtlety to the wine, balancing its fruity character with refined elegance.
