Description
Miñato da Raña 2022 by Nanclares y Prieto is a rustic red wine from Ribeira Sacra, Galicia. This vintage is composed of 60% Mencía, 30% Garnacha Tintorera, and 10% white grapes, specifically Godello and Palomino. The grapes come from the "A Raña" vineyard, which is located on the granite slopes of the Miño River and features centuries-old vines.
The winemaking process includes manual harvesting, foot treading, and fermentation, including 100% of the bunches, in old 600-liter French oak barrels. The wine is then aged for 9 months in the same containers, without fining or filtering.
Tasting Notes
This wine stands out for its freshness and refinement, with aromas of red fruits and herbal notes. It is fresh and pleasant on the palate, with a long, persistent finish. This wine is ideal for those seeking the freshness and elegance of Galician reds.
