Red wines in summer? Of course! If they're natural, fresh, and Galician, they're the perfect plan. Discover three red wines full of character, ideal for pairing with light dishes and sharing good times. Wines that speak of the landscape, the land, and those who care for them.
When they are well-made, with natural freshness, minimal intervention and plenty of fruit, natural Galician red wines are perfect to accompany light dinners, mild meats, or a good chat at sunset. Today we recommend three that stand out for their origin, honesty, and refreshing profile:

From the granite terraces of Chantada, in Ribeira Sacra, comes this Mencía with a touch of Garnacha Tintorera. Only 3,400 bottles from regenerative viticulture, manual harvest and fermentation with natural yeasts. Red fruit and balsamic notes on the nose, juicy and fresh on the palate, with vibrant acidity and a long finish. Ideal with cured meats, white meats, or grilled vegan dishes.
A red wine with a Cistercian history, made in the Miño Valley on slate soils. Mencía, Garnacha, and white varieties give life to a complex yet approachable wine. Aged in used white wine barrels, which adds freshness. Red fruit, floral notes, silky and elegant on the palate. Perfect with semi-cured cheeses, mushrooms, or meat risottos.

From Espasantes, in Ribeiras do Miño, this wine is made with Mencía and Garnacha Tintorera. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged mostly in stainless steel. Fresh fruit, spices, and graphite on the nose; medium body, soft tannins, and a spicy finish. It pairs wonderfully with barbecues, roasted vegetables, or roast chicken.
Freshness and terroir in every sip. These natural red wines are perfect if you're looking for something different—honest wines, without artifice, that speak of the landscape and those who make them. Surprising, versatile, and full of Galician soul. This summer, rediscover red wines. Rediscover Galicia. Rediscover yourself with VinNatura.
